Americans for Prosperity New Hampshire announces endorsement of Dave Wheeler in the Executive Council District 5 Republican Primary

Americans for Prosperity- New Hampshire, a conservative free-market advocacy group, announced their endorsement today of Dave Wheeler in the Executive Council District 5 Republican Primary. Dave Wheeler released the following statement:

“I am grateful to Americans for Prosperity for their endorsement and continued support,” said Wheeler. “AFP has worked hard in New Hampshire to reduce barriers to entry, encourage free-speech, limit cronyism, and promote prosperity for Granite Staters.”

“As this endorsement goes to show, District 5 can count on me, Dave Wheeler, to fight for those same values,” continued Wheeler.

“Due to the revenue declines from COVID shutdowns, it is more important now than ever for the taxpayers to be protected from wasteful spending,” added Wheeler. “Voters can absolutely count on me to pour over state spending, line by line, and fight for the taxpayers of this great state.”

“Together we can ensure everyone has a level playing field in New Hampshire,” Wheeler continued. “As Executive Councilor I have fought against corporate welfare and rent-seeking.  Well-connected corporations and their lobbyists should not be favored over hard-working small business owners.”

“This November, we can ensure the Executive Council has not only a Republican majority, but a majority that will fight to protect Granite State taxpayers, a majority that will support free-speech and free-markets, and a majority that will fight against cronyism,” Wheeler concluded. “It would be my honor to represent District 5 on the Council once again and fight for my constituents.”

“Wheeler, of Milford, is running to return to the Executive Council, representing District 5, and is in a Republican primary against former state Sen. Bob Clegg. The winner will take on Democratic Executive Councilor Debora Pignatelli in the general election.

AFP-NH said Wheeler “has been a staunch defender of free speech, ensuring Granite Staters can think, speak, and associate freely without government harassment. Wheeler has also been a consistent watchdog for taxpayers and for opposing corporate welfare that benefit the well-connected over hard-working Granite Staters. Wheeler received AFP’s 2018 Tom Thomson Defender of Liberty Award.’”
