A sole source contract to train 9,000 New Hampshire childcare workers came to the Council with no competitive bidding and no curriculum anyone would produce on request.
Executive Councilor David Wheeler, R-Milford, said he had concerns about the fact that the contract was not bid out and that he did not know what the curriculum was and contends it might be related to “politically correct” diversity, equity and inclusion curriculum.

Wheeler asked what the state would be paying to teach, and said plainly he was concerned it was politically correct DEI material. The contract was tabled.
No bidding plus no disclosure is exactly how ideology gets funded quietly with taxpayer money. Nobody has to defend a curriculum nobody is allowed to read. Wheeler made them say it out loud on the record.
